The Fox River

Here is a view of the Fox River from the trail we hiked. The Fox is one of only five rivers in the world that flows North instead of South. It empties into the bay of Green Bay which in turn empties into Lake Michigan. Over the years I've watched boats, jet skies, skulling crews and kayaks sail the waters of the Fox. The fishing is good although people are wary as the Fox suffered for years from the misuse by man with chemical discharge from local paper mills. The Fox has received aid from the superfund to help clean the waters which is an ongoing project. We must preserve the beauty of this unique river so that generations to come can enjoy her.
